Homemade Christmas Ornaments for Boys

DSC_0325These ornaments are VERY easy to make and cost about 50 cents a piece.

You will need:

  • clear glass ornaments
  • acrylic craft paint
  • access to a color printer
  • regular, manicure scissors or X-acto knife
  • ribbon (optional)

First, you will want to decide what image you want on the ornament. Plenty of images are available on Google. Copy them into a word document and adjust the size and print the imagine on regular white paper. Use scissors to cut out the design. (You may want to use manicure scissors to get the details cut close.)

Next, chose a color of paint that coordinates with your design. Remove the top metal part of the ornament; squeeze paint into the ornament and begin to swirl the paint around inside.  Make sure it covers the entire ornament. Let it dry for at least 24 hours.

Use Elmer’s glue to adhere the design onto the ornament. Let dry.

Last, you may want to tie a few ribbons to the top.
